FROM JULY 5 TO 11, 2022: FID MARSEILLE (33RD MARSEILLE INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FESTIVAL)
Every change is a beginning. FIDMarseille is changing today. A change caused by the departure of its director – of its inspiration and refounder. Jean-Pierre Rehm took over the management of the festival 20 years ago and has worked with his team over the years to make FID what it is today: an exceptional international event. For filmmakers, spectators, professionals, for all lovers of ambitious cinema, The FID with its questioning D, meaning here rather Diversity and Difference than one film genre or another.
The FID, which takes place every year at the beginning of July, is one of the the most famous film festivals in France by delivering various awards at the end of its week of screening, Grand Prize of the international competition, Grand Prize of the French competition, Georges de Beauregard International and French Prize. During the festival are also organized the FIDLab , platform e support for international co-production and the FIDCampus, training residence for international students.

... AND FROM AUGUST 22 TO 24, 2022: AUGUST MEETINGS
During the General States of Documentary Film in Lussas, the documentary school organizes professional meetings behind closed doors for author/director & producer/actor in the financing of documentary creation tandems for in-depth discussions on their projects. .
For three days in the shade of the trees of Saint-Laurent-sous-Coiron, the August Meetings will take place in two stages:
- workshops Led by duos of seasoned producers: during this first day, the producers who lead the workshop, analyze with all the participants the uniqueness of each project, its strengths and weaknesses and suggest different avenues of financing. opportunity for always fruitful exchanges between all the participants and can mark the start of co-productions.
- individual interviews (pairs with projects/pairs of readers): brought together in complementary pairs, the readers meet present the participants in the framework of individual meetings of 45 minutes scheduled over two days, allow the project to progress and the ability of the director and the producer to dialogue with the actors of the financing of the film.
